The original system for creating pure and ultrapure water

The OSMOTRON was built by BWT Pharma & Biotech in 1996 and was the first system to incorporate all the process stages for the production of pharma water in a pre-assembled system. Meanwhile, the OSMOTRON, with over 700 systems currently in operation, is the most commonly used system for producing pure water and ultrapure water in accordance with standards in the European and US pharmaceutical industry.

The processes carried out by the OSMOTRON include:

  • Pre-treatment
  • Water softening
  • Microfiltration
  • Reverse osmosis
  • Electrodeionisation

The fully-assembled design on a single frame enables each system to be certified prior to shipping, and includes full Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at the BWT manufacturing plant.

The OSMOTRON is available in various models with filtration capacities ranging from 500-20,000 l/h.
