The innovative patented Mg2+ technology from BWT is revolutionising the process for drinking water softening. The result is a mineral-rich water with a great flavour. |
| 2009 |
BWT presents its new professional Point of Use programme for the water optimisation of coffee machines, vending machines, ovens and steam cookers.
New water softening technologies: with intelligent regeneration and precision salting, AQA life, AQA smart, AQA solar.

| 2008 |
BW is presenting the world’s first arsenic table-water filter. It is based on a new cation exchanger membrane.
SANISAL is the world’s first regenerating salt for water softening systems which also disinfects. |
| 2007 |
The BWT AQA perla, an alternate operating soft water system, sets new hygiene, efficiency and environmental standards in water softening.

fumapen® S, carbon membrane for direct methanol fuel cells
The Hydrokat sets new safety standards thanks to the catalytic combustion of hydrogen and oxygen in electrolysis facilities, electro-dialysis and electro-deionisation.
As part of the Reaxan drinking water disinfection system, the Reaxan process is applied, as developed by BWT as a Legionella prophylaxis and means of killing off Legionella in contaminated cold and warm water installations. The process involves adding chlorine dioxide to drinking water. This chemical substance kills Legionella and other bacteria as well as removing the biofilm in pipe systems.
Septron Biosafe, a chemical-free continuous desalination system with an integrated ultra-filtration feature. |
| 2005 |
PairOX, chemical-free disinfection of air humidifiers
AQA total Energy, alternative limescale and corrosion protection
With its new filter media, BWT is creating highly effective solutions for filtering out heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, iron, radium, thallium and uranium as well as for fluoride removal. With the MDA process (manganese oxide activation) and the Biox process (biological manganese removal using manganosites), an effective method of manganese removal can be developed. This can be used in particular with mineral water processing. |

fumapen® A, hight temperature membranes for stationary fuel cells
The Coolzon disinfectant device reduces germs in cooling water systems |
| 2003 |
In order to remove Legionella from drinking water, BWT has developed B-Safe, a micro-filter made from hollow fibre membranes for application at the so-called ‘Point of Use’, the drinking water tapping point. |

| 1997 |
BWT bipolar technology represents a breakthrough in chemical-free limescale protection for drinking water installations and this is reflected in AQA total Energy. All of the valuable minerals are preserved in the drinking water, thanks to the innovative technology used. |
| 1996 |
The development of hybrid membranes represents the start of a range of internationally respected milestones in the field of fuel cell technology. |

DVGW-certified large-scale water softener |
| 1994 |
BWT has introduced the world’s first electrode ionisation module (EDI) with a spiral winding in the form of the SEPTRON®. The EDI technology enables pure water to be produced quickly and safely from tap water. This high quality pure water with a low conductivity and micro-biological purity is used primarily in the pharmaceuticals industry for producing medication and infusion solutions as well as in the biotech industry. |
