Basel, July 08, 2005 – Christ Ultrapure Water AG, a member of the BWT Best Water Technology Group, has been awarded a contract for the expansion of an industrial condensate treatment plant for PKN Orlen SA, the largest oil refinery in Poland. Both sides have agreed to keep the order volume confidential.
This contract covers the expansion of the existing Christ water treatment plant from its current capacity to 950 m3/h and represents, for Christ, engineering in new dimensions. This project represents the construction of the largest industrial concentrate treatment plant in the history of Christ and is a further shining example of high-tech process water treatment.
Christ and Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen have been technological partners for many years and the selection of Christ for this project is based on leading technologies, unique know-how and outstanding customer support.
Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen in Plock (PKN) operates one of the largest refineries in Europe, capable of processing more than eleven million tonnes of crude oil per year. The company has around two thousand filling stations in Poland and Germany.
The project is an exemplar for the erection of turnkey process water treatment systems.
Christ will act as turnkey solutions provider in the project and guarantees best water quality.
This contract affirms that, as a result of its economically and ecologically optimized turnkey solutions, the Christ Water Technology AG is on a successful path, particularly with regard to new growth markets like Eastern Europe.
